In October 2010, the Grupo Vidanta Foundation awarded its prize to individuals and organizations who addressed the issue of inequality in Latin America. This Prize was titled "Contributions to the reduction of poverty and inequality in Latin America and the Caribbean" and consisted of a $100,000 first place prize, a $75,000 second place prize, and a $50,000 third place prize.
The entries had great ideas for reducing poverty and inequality, as well as combating discrimination.
